Nissan Altima Trims
The sixth-generation 2019 Nissan Altima comes standard with a 2.5-liter engine (a turbo upgrade is available) and innovative driver aids such as Nissan Intelligent Mobility – Safety Shield 360, which is highlighted by intelligent forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. The exterior has been redesigned with a larger grille, tighter lines, and overall sportier look. Interior features include an 8-inch touch-screen display and NissanConnect for a smooth vehicle-to-device experience. And, for the first time, the intelligent all-wheel-drive system is available on the 2.5-liter trims for all-weather variable responses and extra confidence in rain or snow. When it’s equipped with LED low-beam headlights, the 2019 Altima earns the IIHS Top Safety Pick award. All trims get three years/36,000 miles basic bumper-to-bumper and five years/60,000 miles powertrain warranty.
Trim Levels: The Base S
The S standard features include intelligent forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, 16-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, and a rearview camera. Some of the standout interior features are an advanced drive-assist display, Bluetooth hands-free phone system, hands-free text messaging assistant, NissanConnect 8” touch-screen display, and audio streaming via Bluetooth wireless technology. A remote engine start system also comes standard.
The SR is the Altima’s lively variation, with some performance-oriented upgrades. Features include 19-inch alloy wheels, a lower ride height, a sport-tuned suspension for sharper handling and reduced body roll, matte chrome trim, paddle shifters to allow drivers to feel the thrill of both worlds of automatic and manual transmissions, LED headlights, a dark chrome grille, and carbon fiber interior trim for a refined look.
The SV combines features from the S and SR trims and builds on driver aid features. It comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, ProPILOT Assist (self-steering and stop-and-go adaptive cruise control), automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking (which applies emergency braking while in reverse), and intelligent lane intervention.
The upgraded interior features that raise the comfort factor are heated front seats, a heated leather steering wheel, dual-zone automatic temperature control, rear passenger air conditioning vents, and remote engine/climate control start to get your car to the perfect temperature before you hop in. The SV also comes with Homelink Universal Transceiver, which allows you to remotely control up to three devices such as garage doors, home security systems, and lighting.
Standard features included in the SL are Nissan Door-to-Door Navigation with Premium Traffic, leather-appointed seats, active noise cancellation to reduce low-frequency noise, Bose Premium Audio system with nine speakers, and wood-tone trim on the interior.
The Platinum trim adds its own set of amenities, such as 19-inch alloy wheels, Intelligent Around View Monitor (360-degree camera), driver’s seat memory feature, interior accent lighting, and Nissan voice recognition for audio and navigation control.
The SR VC-Turbo and Platinum VC-Turbo
The SR and Platinum trims offer upgraded performance versions with a turbocharged 2.0-liter Variable Compression Turbo DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engines, the first of its kind. Both trims come with electronic sequential multi-point fuel injection for faster response, lower emissions, and better fuel economy. The SR VC-Turbo also comes equipped with paddle shifters and a dark chrome V-Motion grille.
