With the massive appeal of the crossover segment, Nissan is keeping its models competitive, and the 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport definitely gives its rivals a run for their money. So, if you’re in the market for a new vehicle and are considering hopping on the crossover train, then consider the 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport in your search.
Trims and Standard Features
The 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport is sold in a trio of trim levels: S, SV, and SL. The sole powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive comes standard, but all-wheel drive is optional on all three trims.
The base-level S comes with LED daytime running lights, keyless entry, a 60/40 split-folding second-row seat, and a rearview camera. The SV adds heated side mirrors with built-in turn signal indicators, roof rails, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, a cargo-area cover, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. A few optional items can be added to this trim, such as fog lights, remote start with intelligent climate control, memory functions for the driver’s seat and side mirrors, simulated-leather seats, heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a leather-wrapped shifter knob. The top-trim SL receives most of those add-ons, minus the fog lights and memory functions (which both remain optional). Some other available amenities for this trim include LED headlights, a sunroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat.
Safety and Technology
All versions of the 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport are equipped with the automaker’s Safety Shield 360 suite of advanced driver aids. This includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, intelligent lane intervention, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, intelligent forward collision warning, a rear sonar system, high beam assist, rear automatic braking, and intelligent trace control. The SV is available with ProPilot Assist, Nissan’s semi-autonomous driving assistant, which adds the intelligent around-view monitor and intelligent driver alertness feature. Those features come standard on the SL.
The S comes with a nice selection of tech amenities, such as a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, voice recognition, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free and audio streaming, a four-speaker audio system, satellite radio, and a USB data port. With the SV, a six-speaker audio system is added, while the range-topping SL rounds out the amenities with integrated navigation. A premium Bose audio system can be added.
