Trims and Powertrain
The 2020 Nissan NV Cargo Van is available in three models (NV1500, NV2500 HD, and NV3500 HD); there are two trim levels for the NV1500 (S and SV) and three trim levels for the other two (S, SV, and SL). The 1500 has a 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine that puts out 261 hp and 281 lb.-ft. of torque; it’s paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. The 2500 gets the same V6, but it’s available with a high roof for additional accommodation, whereas the 1500 is not. Also offered for the NV2500 – and standard on the NV3500 – is a 5.6-liter V8 that makes 375 hp and 387 lb.-ft. of torque; it’s paired up with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The 3500 can be outfitted with either roof, but it only comes with the V8. The SV and SL trims of the 2500 and 3500 are capable of towing up to 9,400 lb. Dealer-installed interior wood wall panels are offered to protect the sheet metal and provide mounting points for storage customization.
The 2020 Nissan NV Cargo is no-nonsense but not spartan; it has all that it needs to be an effective commercial vehicle. The NV1500’s standard features list includes power windows, a rearview camera, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, Bluetooth hands-free and audio streaming, and a USB data port. The S version of the 2500 adds additional cargo area lights and storage bins under the driver’s seat and within the rear door. The 1500 SV provides power-adjustable side mirrors, rear parking sensors, trim panels on the cargo walls, and a four-speaker audio system with satellite radio. The SV trim of the NV2500 adds a center storage console and 12-volt power outlets. The highest trim, the SL (available on the N2500 and NV3500), supplies heated side mirrors, chrome exterior trim, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat.
The 3500’s features list is similar to the 2500’s. If you opt for the V8 engine with the SV and SL trims, you’ll receive extendable tow mirrors, front tow hooks, a prewired Class IV receiver hitch, and a trailer brake controller. A Rear Door Glass Package is available that will add rear-window privacy glass and defrosters, as well as a specialized interior rearview mirror. A Navigation Package is also offered (integrated navigation with a 5.8-inch touchscreen interface, NissanConnect mobile apps, voice recognition, and satellite radio).
