Although it’s coming off a major overhaul for the previous model year, the eighth-generation Sentra brings even more for 2027. Nissan has maintained the model’s low pricing, keeping it among the most affordable vehicles available today, and a broad trim range ensures an option for most budgets. That lineup is bigger now with the addition of the SR Midnight Edition, which builds on the mid-grade SR with a dark theme featuring a blacked-out exterior, including a Super Black two-tone roof, black 18-inch wheels, and distinctive badging.
TOn the mechanical side, a retuned Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) provides smoother and more responsive acceleration. Compact sedan shoppers looking to outfit the Sentra beyond its standard amenities will find changes to the optional packages. The Premium Package for the SR and SR Midnight Edition gains customizable multicolor ambient lighting and knee pads on the center console for added comfort. The Cold Weather Package is now reserved for the base S trim, while the enhanced version for the SR variants is now called the All-Weather Package. The available wireless device charger has been upgraded to the faster Qi2 standard.
