For over four decades, the Sentra has faithfully served as a no-nonsense compact sedan, providing buyers with affordable sensibility. For 2026, the trusted nameplate gets a complete redesign inside and out to kick off its ninth generation, outfitted with updated tech and a striking new look that adds style to compliment this four-door’s longstanding reputation for value. This new design gives the Sentra more aesthetic power and presence to boost it above its segment competitors. The front end is defined by a V-motion grille, revised LED headlights (standard for the first time), and a wider, angular fascia. Slim, line-patterned LED taillights grace the rear, while Imperial Bronze, Energetic Ember, and Bluestone Pearl join the color palette.
The remodeled cockpit showcases an updated 12.3-inch infotainment center on all trims and includes wireless smartphone connectivity (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) for the first time. A digital gauge cluster is now standard at 7 inches on the base S, with the rest getting a 12.3-inch version to match the size of the infotainment screen. Wireless smartphone charging, another Sentra first, is offered on the three higher grades, while some upscale amenities have been extended to lower trim levels: the S now has Nissan Intelligent Key, the SV receives remote start, and the SR gets NissanConnect. The enhanced driver-assist suite includes adaptive cruise control for the first time and also equips the Sentra with traffic sign recognition, blind-spot intervention, and lane departure prevention. The two highest trims introduce a 360-degree monitor, with the top-of-the-line SL also getting the proprietary ProPILOT Assist suite for the first time.
