Balise Nissan of West Springfield

2026 Nissan Rogue

2026 Nissan
Rogue

Simply put, the Rogue is Nissan’s best seller because it checks so many boxes. Not only does it offer the versatility of a compact, two-row crossover, but there’s welcoming room for five. Thanks to Nissan’s advanced engineering, the Rogue’s innovative turbocharged engine offers lively performance without sacrificing fuel economy. What also keeps the Rogue at the top of many shoppers’ lists is that Nissan keeps the model fresh. Last model year saw the introduction of the ruggedized Rock Creek trim, giving the Rogue light off-road capabilities. For 2026, the automaker is again revamping the Rogue lineup with the forthcoming Dark Armor trim, featuring upscale touches like a panoramic moonroof, a heated steering wheel, and black-themed exterior treatments. The Dark Armor, which should arrive at Balise Nissan of West Springfield a bit later, will sit just below the top-of-the-line Platinum trim.

Trims and Drivetrains

Nissan currently offers four trim packages for the 2026 Rogue: S, SV, Rock Creek, and Platinum. Their power source is a 201-horsepower 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine. Dubbed the VC-Turbo, this gutsy powerplant uses variable compression (VC) technology to balance fuel economy and engine performance. The S and SV have standard front-wheel drive (FWD), while all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional; the Rock Creek and Platinum are made solely with AWD. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is used for both drivetrains.

The Rogue offers up to 36.5 cubic feet behind the rear seats and can tow a maximum of 1,500 pounds. The EPA-estimated fuel economy for the FWD S or SV is 29 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. AWD changes the ratings to 28 mpg around town and 35 mpg, which is the same for the Platinum. The Rock Creek returns 27 mpg city/32 mpg highway.

Standard Features and Options

The Rogue S focuses on the essentials, like fabric upholstery, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlamps, remote keyless entry, push-button ignition, power side-view mirrors, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, cruise control, rear privacy glass, rear air vents, two front-row USB ports, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Rogue SV rises higher in comfort and convenience amenities, including remote start, proximity keyless entry, a power tailgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver's seat, heated power side mirrors, a wrapped steering wheel, sun visors with illuminated vanity mirrors, two second-row USB ports, and 18-inch alloys. The optional SV Premium Package adds a power panoramic moonroof, Prima-Tex leatherette upholstery, rear-door sunshades, and roof rails. The SV Cold Weather Package with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel is also available.

The Rock Creek shares the core equipment of the SV trim while gaining trim-specific leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, exclusive exterior treatments, a black tubular roof rack, and 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires. The elective Rock Creek Premium Package upgrades this trim with a heated steering wheel, a motion-activated liftgate, a four-way power front-passenger seat, a driver's memory system, wireless device charging, upgraded side mirrors (with reverse tilt-down and integrated turn signals), an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and cabin accent lighting. The Platinum starts with the SV’s features list and goes into near-luxury status with a dual-panel panoramic moonroof, quilted semi-aniline leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, a four-way power front-passenger seat, a driver's memory system, upgraded side mirrors (with reverse tilt-down and integrated turn signals), remote folding rear seats, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument display. This top-line edition also has roof rails, rear-door sunshades, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a cargo management system, wireless device charging, cabin accent lighting, and 19-inch wheels. Buyers can add the Platinum Premium Package to get a motion-activated liftgate, heated rear seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a head-up display.

Sophisticated Safety Technology

The Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite outfits every Rogue trim with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, rear automatic braking, rear parking sensors, a driver alertness monitor, and automatic high beams. The SV and above also have blind-spot intervention, lane intervention, and ProPilot Assist hands-on semi-autonomous driving with adaptive cruise control. The Rock Creek and Platinum include a surround-view monitor (with off-road mode for the Rock Creek), while the Platinum also gets traffic sign recognition and front, rear, and side parking sensors. The optional Platinum Tech Package adds upgraded versions of ProPilot Assist and the surround-view monitor. Every trim receives a set of airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, hill start assist, and a rearview monitor. The Rock Creek alone gets hill descent control.

Infotainment and Connectivity

A touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bluetooth serves as the multimedia command center for the ‘26 Rogue. While the lower trims have an 8-inch screen, the Platinum is upgraded to a 12.3-inch touchscreen with integrated navigation, Google built-in services, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Wi-Fi hotspot capability and access to NissanConnect services are added at the SV level. The S has four speakers for its audio system while the SV and Rock Creek get six. The Platinum is the only Rogue trim equipped with a ten-speaker Bose sound system.
