Trims and Powertrains
The redesigned 2026 Leaf is available in three front-wheel-drive trims: S+, SV+, and Platinum+. They have a 75 kWh battery connected to a 160 kW motor that produces 214 horsepower. The range leader is the S+ with 303 miles of distance capability. The values change to 288 miles for the SV+ and 259 for the Platinum+.
Under peak Level 3/DC fast charging conditions, the 2026 Leaf’s battery can be restored from 10% to 80% in about 35 minutes. Nissan gave the third-generation Leaf a dual charging port configuration. The driver's side has a J1772 connection (for Level 1 and 2 charging), while the passenger's side has a NACS (North American Charging Standard) port (for Level 3/DC fast charging), opening up access to the Tesla Supercharger network. Plus, an available adapter provides access to vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, enabling the Leaf to power electronics and small appliances. The Platinum+ has a standard V2L connection in the cargo area. As for cargo capacity, the ‘26 Leaf offers 20 cubic feet of space behind the second row, expanding to 55.5 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded.
