Nissan sells the front-wheel-drive 2025 Kicks in a single S trim that’s focused on the essentials. It’s powered by a 122 horsepower 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine managed by a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The model’s EPA-estimated fuel economy is 31 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. The Kicks Play has 25.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, which expands to 53.1 cubic feet behind the first row.
The Kicks Play S is equipped with fabric upholstery, a six-way manually adjustable driver’s seat, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, halogen headlights, cruise control, three USB ports, a 12-volt DC outlet, and 16-inch steel wheels with covers. You can personalize yours with some available upgrades, which include a rear roof spoiler, a stainless-steel exhaust finisher, LED ground lighting that displays the Nissan logo, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a pet ramp.
The 2025 Kicks Play has the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite installed. The included technologies are forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, rear parking sensors, and automatic headlights. A set of airbags also comes standard, as do anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, hill hold control, and a rearview monitor.
The Kicks Play gets a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen. This simple yet complete system consists of Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Siri Eyes Free voice recognition. The audio comes through six speakers spread throughout the interior.
