The ‘25 Ariya’s trim packages are called Engage, Engage+, Evolve+, and Platinum+. The Engage and Evolve+ are equipped with an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery, a direct-drive transmission, and front-wheel drivetrain (FWD), with all-wheel drive (AWD) available. The Engage FWD and its 63kWh battery make 214 horsepower, while the Evolve+ FWD achieves 238 horsepower with its larger 87kWh battery pack; both trims produce 221 lb.-ft. of torque.
The Engage+ and Platinum+ come with AWD only and are driven by two electric motors with an 87kWh battery and a direct-drive transmission. This dual-motor system puts out 389 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque. Its zero-to-60 mph time is 4.8 seconds, and it can tow up to 1,500 pounds.
The Engage FWD can be recharged in approximately 10 hours using a 240V outlet. It takes just under 65 minutes to reach 80% battery life via 50kW DC fast charging (a 130kW power source reduces this time to an estimated 35 minutes). All other Ariya trims take about 14 hours to restore to full power at 240V, while DC fast charging rates are estimated at 90 minutes (50kW) and 40 minutes (130kW) to reach 80 percent.
The maximum driving ranges and miles-per-gallon equivalents (MPGe) vary depending on the trim. The Engage FWD has the best EPA-estimated ratings at 109 MPGe city/94 MPGe highway, while the Evolve+ FWD returns the longest driving range at an estimated 289 miles.
The primary difference between the Engage and Engage+ is performance related, and so these trims are similarly equipped with synthetic leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat with memory settings, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic temperature control with rear seat vents, ambient interior lighting by Andon, a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, wireless smartphone charging, four USB ports, a 12V DC power outlet, the Nissan Intelligent Key with push-button start and a front-door request switch, 19-inch painted alloy wheels, power-folding heated side mirrors, LED headlights and taillights, and a rear wing spoiler.
The Evolve+ adds a panoramic power moonroof, rain-detecting windshield wipers, a power liftgate, an 8-way power-adjustable passenger seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and HomeLink. The Platinum+ has Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, an 8-way power-adjustable passenger seat with memory settings, a power-tilting steering wheel, LED fog lights, and heated power-fold/tilt side mirrors with integrated turn signals.
The Safety Shield 360 suite of advanced driving aids plays a major role onboard every new Nissan vehicle, including the ‘25 Ariya lineup. Even the entry-level Engage comes with high beam assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, intelligent driver alertness, intelligent lane intervention, intelligent cruise control with distance control and traffic stop/go, intelligent blind spot intervention, traffic sign recognition, front/rear parking sensors, and ProPILOT Assist 1.0 hands-on, which supports both lane centering and adaptive cruise control technologies. Driver visibility is fully optimized in the two highest trims, thanks to the addition of Nissan’s Intelligent Around View Monitor and an intelligent rearview mirror. The Platinum+ alone gets semi-autonomous capabilities with ProPILOT Park (front/rear) and ProPILOT Assist 2.0 with Navi-link hands-off.
The multimedia hub for every ‘25 Ariya is a 12.3-inch color touchscreen. All trims have Bluetooth wireless phone connectivity and audio streaming, Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Siri Eyes Free, Amazon Alexa Built-in, SiriusXM with 360L, a Wi-Fi hotspot, trial access to NissanConnect services, over-the-air software updates, and Nissan Door-to-Door Connected Navigation, which features voice activation, Real-time Traffic Display, and Real-time Weather Display. The lone infotainment upgrade is found on the Platinum+, which trades the standard 6-speaker stereo for a Bose premium sound system with 10 speakers.
