Trims and Powertrain

Nissan offers four versions of the 2024 Rogue: S, SV, SL, and Platinum. Their VC-Turbo 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine (output: 201 horsepower and 225 lb.-ft. of torque) uses Nissan’s proprietary variable compression (VC) technology to enhance both performance and fuel efficiency. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is standard, as is a front-wheel drivetrain (FWD); all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional. The Rogue can tow up to 1,500 pounds when it is properly equipped with towing components. The EPA-estimated fuel economy for the 2024 Rogue ranges from 28 to 30 mpg in the city and 34 to 37 mpg on the highway, depending on the trim and drivetrain (FWD or AWD).

Standard Features and Option Packages

The standard equipment list for the entry-level Rogue S includes remote keyless entry, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, fabric seating surfaces, push-button ignition, power side-view mirrors, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, two front-row USB ports, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The SV adds proximity keyless entry, remote start, heated power side-view mirrors, a power tailgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The optional SV Premium Package can be elected for a power panoramic moonroof, Prima-Tex leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, rear-door sunshades, a second USB port in the second row, and roof rails.

The upscale SL, which is equipped similarly to the SV with the Premium Package, also features leather upholstery, a four-way power front passenger seat, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, heated power side mirrors with integrated LED turn-signal indicators, a cargo management system, wireless device charging, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The available SL Premium Package will upgrade it with a power panoramic moonroof, tri-zone automatic climate control, a motion-activated liftgate, a driver’s memory system, reverse tilt-down side mirrors (heated with power adjustability), and rear door sunshades.

The Platinum is outfitted with most of the features found in the SL with the Premium Package, except for the tri-zone climate control, the motion-activated liftgate, and rear door sunshades. Its standard upgrades include quilted semi-aniline leather seating surfaces, remote-folding rear seats, and cabin accent lighting. The available Platinum Premium Package will add a head-up display, tri-zone climate control, heated second-row seats, motion-activated liftgate, and rear door sunshades.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Nissan Safety Shield 360, standard on all 2024 Rogue trims, includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, rear automatic braking, automatic high beams, rear parking sensors, a driver alertness monitor, and cruise control. The SV and higher trims include a lane intervention system to minimize lane departure and ProPilot Assist for hands-on semi-autonomous driving with adaptive cruise control. The SL and Platinum come standard with a surround-view monitor, enhanced ProPILOT Assist, front and rear parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Rogue’s infotainment system is housed in an 8-inch touchscreen; it brings together Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bluetooth. The S trim gets four speakers for its audio system, with six speakers for the SV and SL trims and a 10-speaker Bose upgrade for the Platinum. The SV and above have access to NissanConnect Services and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The SL and Platinum trims move up to a 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation, Google built-in services, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
