Trim Levels and Mechanical Details

The quintet of 2023 Nissan Rogue’s trim choices consists of the S, SV, Midnight Edition, SL, and Platinum. A 201 hp turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine teams with the Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) with manual mode to form the capable powertrain. Front-wheel drive is the default, but most New England Rogue owners prefer the available all-wheel drive for maximum versatility. The EPA has estimated that FWD Rogues achieve 30 mpg in city driving and 37 mpg on the open road. The AWD rating changes to 28 city/35 highway.

S

The S trim takes care of the basics with fabric-upholstered seats (manually adjustable in the front row), a 12-volt power outlet, a USB-A and a USB-C port, seats, rear privacy glass, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, and push-button start. It also gets some more premium amenities, such as remote keyless entry, LED headlights, and LED daytime running lights. Its multimedia setup can be operated using its 8-inch touchscreen or voice recognition; its features are Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, four speakers, and SiriusXM satellite radio. Nissan Safety Shield 360, a well-regarded assembly of advanced driver-assist technologies, comes standard to equip the Rogue S with automatic high beams, reverse automatic braking, rear parking sensors, intelligent forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and Intelligent Driver Alertness.

SV

The SV gives its occupants a bit more, with the likes of remote start, Nissan Intelligent Key (proximity entry), a power driver’s seat, automatic climate control with two zones, heated side mirrors with built-in turn-signal indicators, another pair of USB ports, and illuminated vanity mirrors. This trim’s infotainment additions are a Wi-Fi hotspot, another pair of speakers, and NissanConnect remote vehicle services. ProPilot assist adaptive cruise control, intelligent lane intervention, and intelligent blind-spot intervention join its driver-assist suite. Nissan offers the optional SV Premium Package for those who desire heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a power liftgate, and a dual-panel panoramic moonroof. The package also puts in rear sunshades, simulated leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and roof rails.

Nissan’s Intelligent Around-View Monitor is another prominent addition, giving the driver greater ability to spot obstacles around the vehicle. The SL Premium Package is offered to add the rear sunshades, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a hands-free liftgate, and tri-zone automatic climate control while also fortifying the infotainment system with a 9-inch touchscreen, the Bose sound system, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, and SiriusXM Travel Link.
