2022 Nissan Versa for Sale in West Springfield, MA

Overview
Nissan changed the rules on economy cars when it introduced the third-generation Versa for the 2020 model year. This budget-friendly vehicle shows that cars in its class aren’t necessarily dull and barren of equipment. For 2022, the Versa puts forward a full roster of standard and available equipment, including state-of-the-art driver-assist technology and the latest infotainment features.
The Versa also shows off Nissan’s distinctive, modern styling centered around the signature V-Motion grille and floating roof design (these attributes also show up on the brand’s flagship Maxima sedan and others). But while low price is a huge factor and appearance also matters, most Versa drivers love the car for its practicality, comfortable seating for five, and outstanding fuel economy.
Trims and Powertrain
The Versa’s simple lineup of three trims offers just enough choices. You can go with the entry-level Versa S for basic transportation, the SV for a balance between budget and features, and the top-tier SR for a loaded car you can still call affordable. All three trims are front-wheel drive and come with the same 1.6-liter 122-horsepower four-cylinder engine, but there are two different transmissions. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on the S, while a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is available on that trim and standard on the SV and SR. The EPA-estimated fuel economy for a manual-shift Versa is 27 mpg around town and 35 mpg on the highway; with the CVT all trims return 32 city/40 highway.
Standard Features by Trim Level
The S offers all of the necessities plus some bang for the buck with auto on/off halogen headlights, power side mirrors, 15-inch steel wheels with covers, remote keyless entry, push-button start, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, and a tilt and telescopic steering column. Some driver-assist features are also standard; see the next section for details. The SV adds a heated feature to its power side mirrors and upgrades to proximity keyless entry, 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, body-color door handles and side mirrors, and premium cloth upholstery. It also adds a 60/40-split folding rear seatback, a digital driver information display, and additional safety technology.
The top-of-the-line SR gets remote start, LED headlights, fog lights, enhanced exterior accents, heated power side mirrors with LED turn-signal indicators, a body-color rear spoiler, sport cloth upholstery, an upgraded dash covering, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The optional SR Convenience Package will add heated front seats, automatic climate control, and adaptive cruise control.
Active Safety and Infotainment Technologies
Even the base Versa S comes with sophisticated driver technology, including forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, rear automatic braking, and automatic high beams. The SV and SR also get blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert.
The Versa lineup is well-equipped when it comes to the latest communications technology. All trims have a 7-inch color touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, Siri Eyes Free, three USB ports, and a text messaging assistant. The audio system gets four speakers on the S and SV, and six speakers on the SR. The SV and SR are upgraded with smartphone integration (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), SiriusXM satellite radio, and access to NissanConnect telematics.
