Overview
For a compact economy car, the 2022 Nissan Sentra has quite a lot to brag about. Not only does it have a strikingly sporty style that makes it look more expensive than it actually is, but it also includes an array of top-notch standard safety features, a remarkably efficient powertrain, and an upscale, feature-laden interior. Trims and Powertrain
Three trims are offered with the 2022 Nissan Sentra: the S, SV, and SR. Their power comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 149 hp and is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drivetrain. The ’22 Sentra is a solid commuter car thanks to its notable efficiency which, according to the EPA’s official estimates, reaches 29 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway.
S
Although it’s the lowest-priced trim, the S is loaded with plenty of great equipment. It has automatic headlights, remote keyless entry, push-button ignition, power windows with one-touch auto up/down (driver’s side), a USB-A port, and a 60/40-split folding rear seatback. The infotainment system can be controlled via its 7-inch touchscreen or voice recognition; its features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, and a four-speaker sound system.
An array of active safety technologies comes courtesy of Nissan Safety Shield 360. These potentially life-saving features consist of intelligent forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, reverse automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot warning, rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, intelligent engine brake, and intelligent driver alertness.
SV

The All-Weather Package makes extreme weather an afterthought with remote start, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a heated steering wheel. The Premium Package will supply 17-inch wheels with all-season tires, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, quilted leather upholstery, a moonroof, and a leather-wrapped shift knob.
SR
The brazen SR tops the range with most of the contents listed in the All-Weather and Premium packages, minus the moonroof, heated front seats and steering wheel, and power driver’s seat. It also has LED headlights, daytime running lights, fog lights, and turn-signal indicators, plus side sill extensions, sportier exterior trim, and interior contrast stitching in eye-catching orange. The SR is eligible for a couple of packages as well. The Premium Package will issue the moonroof, heated front seats and steering wheel, and power driver’s seat, along with thin projector-type LED headlights, NissanConnect services, Prima-Tex synthetic leather seats with orange stitching, a Wi-Fi hotspot, the Intelligent Around-View Monitor, sun visors with illuminated vanity mirrors, and a Bose sound system with eight top-quality speakers. The SR also qualifies for the Midnight Edition Package, which will provide black 18-inch wheels, black exterior elements, and a Midnight Edition badge.
