2022 Nissan Rogue for Sale in West Springfield, MA

Overview

Rugged and modern is one way to describe the 2022 Nissan Rogue. From the stacked headlight pairs to the sculpted wheel wells, there’s no confusing this compact crossover with the competition – especially with Nissan’s signature V-motion grille adding to the distinctive appearance.

The ever-popular Rogue can also be defined by its high utility factor. There are two rows of generous room for five, or you can fold the rear seat flat for a total of 74.1 cubic feet of cargo space. The most notable improvement for model year 2022 is that the Rogue gets a new and more powerful engine that uses state-of-the-art variable compression turbocharger technology for improved responsiveness and fuel economy.

Trims and Powertrain

Rogue shoppers can choose from four trims: S, SV, SL, and Platinum. Powering the lineup is that redesigned engine, a turbocharged 1.3-liter three-cylinder that puts out 201 horsepower and 225 lb.-ft. of torque – an increase of 20 hp and 44 lb.-ft. over the previous. This VC-Turbo engine is an innovative powerplant marked by variable compression technology that helps prioritize fuel economy or power as driving conditions warrant. Plus, unlike many other turbocharged engines, this one is designed to work with regular unleaded gasoline. An updated continuously variable transmission (CVT) manages the standard front-wheel drive (FWD) or optional all-wheel drive (AWD). The EPA estimates that the FWD-equipped Rogue gets 30 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. In AWD form, the Rogue can deliver 28 mpg around town and 35 mpg on the open road. The towing capacity is limited to 1,500 pounds.

Standard Equipment and Optional Packages

The Rogue S has the essential features no matter where you’re headed. Its standard equipment includes LED exterior lighting, air conditioning, fabric seats, remote keyless entry, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, push-button start, one USB-A port and one USB-C port, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, rear privacy glass, power side mirrors, and 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. If you step up to the SV you’ll get dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, remote start, an eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar control, heated power side mirrors, an additional USB-A port, and 18-inch alloy wheels. It’s also eligible for the SV Premium Package (a dual-panel panoramic moonroof, leatherette-appointed seats, heated front seats, a leatherette-wrapped and heated steering wheel, a power liftgate, roof rails, and rear door sunshades).

Those available attributes come standard on the SL (except for the rear sunshades), as do genuine leather seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, a driver’s memory system, a four-way power front passenger seat, and a motion-activated liftgate. This mid-high trim also has a surround-view monitor, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a cargo management system, and a reverse tilt-down feature on the side mirrors. The SL Premium Package adds rear sunshades and numerous technologies (detailed in the sections that follow). The ultimate Rogue, the Platinum, has all of the same equipment as an SL equipped with the Premium Package, but it’s upgraded with semi-aniline leather seating, heated rear outboard seats, remote-folding rear seats, a digital instrument cluster, wireless device charging, and interior accent lighting. A head-up display is optional.

Driver-Assist Technologies

The excellent Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology bundle is standard across the lineup. The base version includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert with rear automatic braking, high-beam assist, and a driver alert monitor. Rear parking sensors are added to the S, SV, and SL, while the SL with the Premium Package and the Platinum get a full rear, front, and side sensor system. The SL Premium package also adds traffic sign recognition, which is standard on the Platinum. The ProPILOT Assist state-of-the-art semi-autonomous driving system comes standard on the SV and higher trims, as do lane intervention and blind-spot intervention.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The infotainment system in the S has an 8-inch touchscreen, a four-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth, and voice recognition. The SV adds another pair of speakers, and smartphone connectivity moves up to wireless CarPlay on the SL with Premium Package and the Platinum. The SV and higher trims also get access to NissanConnect services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and additional USB ports. The SL with Premium Package and the Platinum are further improved with a 9-inch touchscreen, navigation, and a first-rate Bose sound system.
