2022 Nissan Altima for Sale in West Springfield, MA

Overview
Nissan is doing its part to keep the sedan tradition alive and well with the 2022 Altima. This midsized four-door’s modern styling starts with the distinctive V-motion grille and continues along the crisp and angular body. It’s an undeniably 21st-century look that helps the Altima stand apart in its segment.
But the 2022 Altima is more than a sharp appearance: there’s some truly sophisticated technology inside, such as the impressive performance of the available variable compression turbo engine that’s the star of the performance-oriented trim, the SR VC-Turbo. Plus, most trims are available with all-wheel drive – an option not found on most of the Altima’s rivals. The Altima is also one of the few mainstream sedans available with advanced semi-autonomous driving, state-of-the-art technology made possible by Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist platform.
Trims and Powertrain
The 2022 Altima comes in seven trims: S, SV, SR, SR Midnight Edition, SR VC-Turbo, SL, and Platinum. The standard engine for all trims (except the SR VC-Turbo) is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 188 horsepower and 180 lb.-ft. of torque. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) manages the front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup or the available all-wheel-drive system (AWD). AWD is standard on the Platinum, but it’s not offered on the S or SR VC-Turbo trims. The SR VC-Turbo gets a variable-compression turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 248 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque.
The EPA has estimated fuel economy for most FWD trims (although not the SR, SR Midnight, and SR VC-Turbo) at 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. That changes to 27 city/37 highway for the SR and SR Midnight. The AWD-equipped SV and SL are rated for 26 city/36 highway, while the SR and Platinum with AWD are rated for 25 city/35 highway. The Altima SR VC-Turbo is officially estimated to get 25 mpg around town and 34 mpg on the highway.
Standard Features by Trim Level
The highlights of the S trim’s standard equipment are automatic halogen headlights, power side mirrors, proximity keyless entry, remote start, 16-inch steel wheels with covers, push-button start, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a six-way power driver’s seat, and advanced driver aids (more details below). The SV adds LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch driver information display, an eight-way power driver’s seat, and more driver safety tech. The available SV Premium Package will add a power moonroof, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, heated front seats, driver’s seat power lumbar controls, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and expanded safety technology.
The SR trim gets some performance enhancements with its sport-tuned suspension (FWD only), 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, exclusive exterior and interior accents, and paddle shifters with manual-shift mode. It also gets sport fabric upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. The SR Midnight Edition adds black 19-inch alloys, LED fog lights, a power moonroof, black exterior accents and rear spoiler, heated front seats, and power driver’s seat lumbar controls. The features from the SR Midnight carry over to the ST VC-Turbo (minus the fog lights, black grille, and black wheels). The SL gets dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and additional driver-assist technology. At the top of the hierarchy, the Platinum gets a driver’s seat memory system, a four-way power front passenger seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and ambient interior lighting.
Active Safety and Infotainment Technologies
All ’22 Altimas come with forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, driver attention warning, and a rear-seat occupant reminder. Blind-spot warning, rear automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors are available on the Altima S and standard on all other trims. Intelligent lane intervention and Nissan’s ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system come with the SV Premium Package and are standard on the SL and Platinum.
The base infotainment system found in the S trim has a 7-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, and a USB port. The SV and higher get an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and four USB ports (two each: USB-A and USB-C). Navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, access to NissanConnect for emergency help and vehicle monitoring, and a Bose nine-speaker sound system come with the SL and Platinum.
