2021 Nissan Titan XD for Sale in West Springfield, MA
When it comes to power, safety, technology, and reliability, the 2021 Nissan Titan pickup truck delivers in spades. This totally tough body-on-frame beast has the most standard horsepower and torque (400 hp and 413 lb.-ft. of torque) as well as the most standard safety equipment in its class. It also gets an infotainment system with a class-leading standard 8-inch touchscreen, as well as a 5-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty – also the best in the segment. If you’re interested in making the most of the Titan’s capabilities, then you’ll want to opt for the even hardier XD version, which doles out more brawn for your work-related needs. We’ll focus on the Titan XD’s special capabilities below.
Trims and Powertrain
There are five versions of the 2021 Nissan Titan XD: S, SV, Pro-4X, SL, and Platinum Reserve. As mentioned, their 5.6-liter V8 produces class-best 400 horsepower and 413 lb.-ft. of torque; it works with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drivetrain. With the basic receiver hitch, the Titan XD can tow up to 10,880 pounds, but that capacity increases to 11,040 lb. with the available gooseneck hitch.
The 2021 Titan XD is foremost a workhorse, but it’s also set up with some deluxe features. The S has 17-inch wheels, automatic headlights, rear privacy glass, overhead LED cargo bed lights, a Class IV tow hitch receiver with a 4-pin/7-pin wiring harness, keyless entry and ignition, a 12-volt power outlet, two USB ports (one USB-A and one USB-C), a rearview camera, a 40/20/40 split front bench seat with a flip-down center seat and armrest, and a 60/40 split fold-up rear bench seat with a fold-down armrest. The SV gets oil pan and fuel tank skid plates, front tow hooks, pre-wiring for off-road lighting, LED taillights, heated tow mirrors with turn signal indicators and puddle lights, a gooseneck hitch with a 7-pin in-bed wiring harness, interior mood lighting, a 7-inch Advanced Drive Assist display, and rear seat-cushion grocery-bag hooks. The Proximity Activation feature will turn on the puddle lights, headlights, and cargo and bed-mounted lights automatically as you approach at night.
The Pro-4X has dark-finished 18-inch wheels, lower radiator and transfer case skid plates, LED headlights and daytime running lights, fog lights, black wheel arch moldings and rocker panels, chrome interior trim, and the features listed for the SV Convenience and Utility Packages (see the next section). The SL drops the lower radiator and transfer case skid plates but adds silver-painted 20-inch wheels, auto-dimming side mirrors, running boards with chrome accents, ambient LED interior lighting, and the contents of the Pro-4X Convenience Package (see below).
The Platinum Reserve gets the full treatment with dark-painted 20-inch wheels, two-tone exterior paint, reverse tilt-down side mirrors, a gooseneck ball and anchor kit, a chrome exhaust finisher, heated and cooled front seats, premium leather seats with a Platinum Reserve logo, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel with a wood-tone insert, open-pore wood-tone interior trim, satin-bronze metallic interior accents, and Platinum Reserve badging.
Nissan offers some excellent optional packages for customizing the Titan XD. While the SV is relatively spartan with its base set-up, the Convenience and Utility Packages can be added to bulk up the features list. The Convenience Package contains 20-inch wheels, a power-sliding rear window with a defroster, Nissan Intelligent Key (which frees you up from using the key fob), remote start, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rear AC vents, and two rear illuminated USB ports. The front row is set up with a pair of heated captain’s chairs with a configurable center console, where you’ll find 120-volt and 12-volt power outlets and a smartphone holder. The infotainment system has a 9-inch touchscreen, integrated navigation, NissanConnect Services, and SiriusXM satellite radio. In the driver-assist department, it gets front and rear sonar systems and traffic sign recognition.
The Utility Package includes rain-sensing windshield wipers and a HomeLink universal transceiver, plus numerous features to upgrade the bed and the truck’s overall utility factor. There’s a Utili-track Channel System with four tie-down cleats, a factory-applied spray-on bedliner, a bed-mounted 120-volt AC power outlet, LED under-rail bed lighting, LED tailgate area illumination, rear bumper step assist, a lockable rear-seat cargo organizer, and a fold-flat rear floor.
The Pro-4X is eligible for its own version of the Convenience Package. It bundles remote start, auto-dimming side mirrors (with position memory), a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, heated rear seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel (power tilt-and-telescopic), steering wheel and driver’s seat memory, Pro-4X leather-upholstered and embroidered seats with contrast stitching, and a trailer light check. The Premium Package delivers a surround-view camera system, a dual-panel panoramic moonroof, heated and cooled front seats, and Titan cargo boxes. The Platinum Reserve Utility Package issues the Titan cargo boxes and rear bumper step assist.
Safety and Technology
All 2021 Titan XDs get a version of the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of advanced driver-assist features. In the S, that consists of forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, intelligent driver alertness, blind-spot warning, rear sonar, rear automatic braking, and automatic high beams. The SV adds adaptive cruise control, while the Pro-4X gets front sonar, traffic sign recognition, and hill descent control. The SL and Platinum Reserve gain a surround-view camera system.
The ’21 Titan XD is full of enticing technology. The S and SL have an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, voice recognition, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, SiriusXM satellite radio, hands-free texting, and a six-speaker audio system. The Pro-4X and above trims upgrade to a 9-inch touchscreen, integrated navigation, and a premium 12-speaker Fender sound system.
