2021 Nissan Maxima for Sale in West Springfield, MA
The Nissan Maxima has always been something to celebrate, but even more so now, during its 40th model year. Adding to the festive mood is a 40th Anniversary Special Edition trim, which is distinguished by its two-tone exterior with smoky chrome trim, red leather interior, unique gauge cluster, and additional standard features. Nissan has also dropped the S and SL trims for a more streamlined 2021 lineup.
Trims and Powertrain
The quartet of trims for this year’s Maximum consists of the SV, SR, Platinum, and 40th Anniversary Edition. The powertrain is a 300 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine with a continuously variable transmission, and the drivetrain is front-wheel. According to the EPA, the around-town fuel efficiency is 20 mpg, with 30 mpg on the open road.
Standard equipment on the SV includes remote start, keyless entry, automatic climate control (dual-zone), an auto-dimming rearview mirror, push-button start, power front seats, leather seats and steering wheel wrap, automatic LED headlights, heated exterior mirrors with integrated turn-signal indicators, power-adjustable heated front seats, USB data and charge ports, and a 7-inch multifunction display. The SR upgrades its exterior mirrors with auto-dimming (on the driver’s side) and reverse tilt-down. It also adds black exterior accents, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic moonroof, LED fog lights, premium leather seats with diamond-quilted inserts (heated and ventilated in the front row), aluminum brake and accelerator pedals, an additional USB data port and charge port, and ambient interior lighting.
The Platinum earns its lofty name with genuine wood interior trim, a power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a rear-window power sunshade, and position memory for the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and exterior mirrors. The 40th Anniversary Edition is similarly equipped but with unique touches like heated rear outboard seats, black exterior accents, a two-tone exterior with Ruby Slate Gray Pearl and Super Black, a unique leather-wrapped steering wheel with contrast stitching, red semi-aniline leather upholstery with diamond-quilted leather inserts, 40th Anniversary badging, dark chrome interior trim, and white gauge faces.
Safety and Technology
Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on the ’21 Maxima, but the higher trims receive more features. The SV gets forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, rear sonar, automatic high beams, a driver alert monitor, and traffic sign recognition. The higher trims have front sonar, intelligent lane intervention, and a surround-view monitor.
Everyone who rides in the 2021 Nissan Maxima will stay connected and informed thanks to its full array of standard technology features. The infotainment system consists of an 8-inch touchscreen with navigation, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a sound system with eight speakers. The SR and above move up to a first-rate Bose sound system with 11 speakers.
